The Council recognizes that it is in a position of trust with the donors and members concerning confidentiality. With the exception of donor recognition in standard Council publications and formats (e.g. the annual report) the Wyoming Outdoor Council never sells, shares, or trades donor history or giving information, including gift amounts, size of estate, beneficiary information, etc. This information is kept confidential by board, staff and key volunteers unless permission is obtained from the donor, requested from foundations for grant proposals or otherwise required by law.
The Wyoming Outdoor Council will on rare occasion, and only with board approval, exchange its member list (physical mailing address only) with other like-minded nonprofit groups, with the goal of increasing membership. However, members have the option at any time to ask that their names not be traded.
