March 26-27 Conservation Congress in Pinedale

WOC and our conservation partners are hosting a Conservation Congress in Pinedale on March 26-27 addressing the impacts of oil and gas development in the Upper Green River Valley. Please join us for this high-powered, information-packed meeting about the environmental effects of current and proposed oil and gas drilling and what we can and must do to protect the valley's unique natural values.

The gathering will feature panels including wildlife biologists, representatives from state and federal agencies, landowners and hunters/anglers, as well as outings and aerial tours of the Upper Green.

Governor Freudenthal will be the Luncheon Keynote Speaker. Sixth-generation rancher Tweeti Blancett from the San Juan Basin of New Mexico will be the Dinner Keynote Speaker. She will relate her experiences with oil and gas development on the ranch she and her husband own and run. Reservations required for meals.

Field trips will take place on March 26th with meetings, workshops and keynote speeches on the 27th.

Complete details are available in this online brochure (836KB pdf).
