WOC is Looking for a Few Good Board Members
WOC's board of directors is seeking several new members to replace those who have left the board after years of dedicated service to pursue other interests.
While we have our own list of excellent board prospects, we're sure there are others we've overlooked.
You, for instance. Perhaps you'd welcome the opportunity to do more to help boost the effectiveness of WOC's programs. Perhaps you have public-relations, media-relations, fundraising, legal or accounting skills that you'd like to share with us. Perhaps you like serving on nonprofit boards and committees and have the time and energy to add WOC to your list of commitments.
If so, we'd like to hear from you!
Here's what we expect of all board members: a commitment to a three-year term, attendance at our four yearly board meetings, active service on at least one board committee and, most of all, your energy and ideas.
Here's what we can offer you in return: the chance to be an integral part of Wyoming's most effective conservation group; to work with a congenial group of smart, stimulating and frequently amusing colleagues; and to attend special events and gatherings where you'll meet and mingle with other conservation activists from around the state and recharge your batteries to fight the good fight for Wyoming's wildlife, wildlands and environmental quality.
If you or someone you know might be interested in joining our board, please write, call or email the WOC office and we'll send you a packet of information with WOC's mission and vision statements, bios of current board members, a list of board responsibilities and details on the board nomination process. |
