BTNF - What You Can Do
Thanks to thousands of comments received from citizens like you and extensive environmental analysis, the Bridger-Teton National Forest has proposed the "no-lease" alternative in its draft EIS to protect nearly 370,000 acres of the forest. Your support is needed to make this choice stick.
Please write to the BTNF before February 28 and tell our forest officials that you:
- Support the BTNF's choice of the no-lease alternative to prevent oil and gas development on 369,900 acres of key grizzly bear habitat, crucial big-game winter range, prized back-country recreation areas and blue-ribbon trout streams-including the Hoback and Green rivers, eligible for inclusion in the Wild and Scenic Rivers System.
- Thank them for protecting natural corridors between four of Wyoming's most treasured wilderness areas: the Gros Ventre, the Teton, the Bridger and the Fitzpatrick Wilderness.
