Thanks to all Red Desert Rats!
We don't have room to thank everyone who played key roles in ensuring record-breaking support for the Red Desert protection campaign, but we'd like to express our gratitude:
- to the Harder and Wyss Foundations for supporting our efforts
- to all WOC members, volunteers and other citizens who have participated in the campaign, submitted comments to the BLM and attended open houses and hearings
- to all organizations that sent campaign materials to their members
- to the 100+ businesses and organizations that signed the letter to Interior Secretary Babbitt endorsing the Citizens' Red Desert Protection Alternative
- to Bart Koehler for his humor, help and guidance in organizing a growing band of "Red Desert rat desperadoes" throughout the country
- to Phil Polzer for his brilliant map making
- to Todd Guenther and Tom Bell of the Lander Pioneer Museum for their invaluable help in researching Red Desert history
- to Don Dunham, Liz Howell, Kirk Koepsel, Michael Carroll, Jeff Kessler, Vance Petersen, Fred Eales and Tom and Jane Dustin for their continuing advocacy efforts
- to Wes Martel of the Eastern Shoshone Tribal Business Council and Floyd Osborne and Zelda Tillman of the Shoshone Tribal Cultural Center for their leadership
- to Mike McClure for allowing us to use his beautiful photos in WOC publications
- to Linda Baker for her help in organizing a slide show in Pinedale
- to the Casper Star-Tribune for its gutsy editorial
